About Me

I am proud to have over 20 years of experience serving the community within the non-profit education and mental health sectors. While I was in graduate school to become a therapist. I had the honor of working with clients that have severe mental health illnesses, co-occurring disorders and intellectual disabilities for a community mental health center as a clinical case manager. The experience I gained there was incomparable and priceless, so much so that I continue to provide services to these clients as a therapist, as well as providing services to clients in the private practice setting.

I view counseling as a holistic and individual developmental process. To me, it is important that together we build a trusting relationship that allows you to feel heard and validated. My experience and compassion as a Spanish-speaking bilingual mental health clinician allow me to provide services to a variety of clients including clients from different backgrounds and cultures. I strive to continually grow and be culturally competent by understanding complex issues such as oppression and microaggressions, and understand when clients are being their most authentic selves. I have extensive experience working with clients with trauma, depression and anxiety disorders. I also have a wealth of experience working with individuals with personality disorders and am fully trained and experienced in Dialectical and Behavioral Therapy. I use evidence-based therapeutic techniques to help you heal, feel better and allow you to grow and reach your full potential. I PTSD and trauma make it hard to cope, while depression and anxiety rob you of the joy you deserve in life. There may be loss, and the heavy weight of grief. Or perhaps a betrayal by a loved one, such as a parent, friend, or partner. The hurt and shame that often plague survivors can shatter relationships, jobs, and happiness. You are not alone. Whatever challenges you face, there is always hope, and help is within reach.
