About Tracie
Tracie Holder received her Master of Arts in Counseling from MidAmerica Nazarene University with a dual emphasis in School Counseling and Mental Health and a specialty in Spiritual Formation. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Missouri and is also a Registered Play Therapist. In her therapy practice, Tracie mainly uses a person-centered, experiential approach, acknowledging the importance of awareness and understanding our emotions and how they influence our thoughts and behaviors. She uses unconditional positive regard, highly values the importance of a trusting relationship with her clients, and works to help clients develop self-awareness and vulnerability to work towards becoming their authentic selves. She leads her clients in sessions in a non-directive manner, allowing the client to invite her into the areas they need/want healing in and want to work on. Tracie uses an eclectic modality of therapy, to provide the most beneficial therapeutic experience for each client.

Tracie has worked with individuals and couples, with clients from approximately 4 years old through adulthood, treating conditions including (but not limited to) depression, anxiety, disordered eating, body dysmorphia, trauma, addictions, ADHD, divorce, faith/spiritual exploration/healing, and relational issues. She is LGBTQ+ affirming and specializes in working with teens as well. While Tracie works through a Christian lens, spirituality/faith is left up to the client whether and how much it is brought into sessions. She is open to creating a vulnerable, trusting relationship that honors her client's stories, recognizing the courage it takes to create change and healing in their lives, and walking with them through every step of their journey.
